Local National Guard Unit Deployment Ceremony - National Guard Readiness Center; Smyrna, DE

On January 18th twenty men and women will be deployed to Afghanistan for one year of active duty in the Delaware Army National Guard. The men and women are members of the DNG Embedded Training Team (ETT) and the 160th Engineering Company. Today a deployment ceremony for all thier family, friends, and fellow soldiers was held at the DNG Readiness Center in Smyrna. Ladder 44 along with Quint 45 set up a crossed ladders arch for all the members to go under prior to going into the ceremony. The officers and members of the CHC would like to thank the men and women of the ETT and 160th for thier service to our community and country, and also with them a speedy and safe return.
