Truck Fire - 236 E. Glenwood Ave.

At 0850 CHC units were dispatched to a reported truck fire in the rear of the ACME in the Smyrna Mart Shopping Center.  Heavy smoke was visible as 44-4 pulled out of the station, and on arrival found a small moving truck with the engine compartment involved.  Crews were able to knock the fire down before it spread into the container box area of the truck.  The CHC responded with 3 units, and had 30 members in service for approximately 46 minutes.  Units were assisted by Smyrna PD and FM 13.  OIC was Capt. Isaac J. Hankins.
