12th Annual 9/11 Ceremony - Smyrna, DE
Wednesday, September 11, 2013

The CHC along with the Smyrna/Clayton Ministerium held its annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony this evening attended by members of the community, and local fire/rescue service. The ceremony is an annual event to commemorate the memory of all the lives lost that fateful day, whether in the towers, the Pentagon, or in the air. The event was highlighted by Delaware Native and National photographer and videographer Lou Angeli, who talked about his experiences while working at Ground Zero documenting the events, and working with the recovery efforts. Lou also spent time after the ceremony to show his new video which also aired on the Discovery Channel about volunteers who answered the call and served at Ground Zero. The event was attended by over 50 members and their families from the CHC, members of the Clayton Fire Co., Cheswold Fire Co., Leipsic Fire Co., Volunteer Hose Co. of Middletown, Odessa Fire Co., and the American Legion Amb. 64. Thank you to all those who attended to help remember all those lives that were lost that eventful day.
