Installation of Officers & Awards Ceremony - Station 44

Tonight the CHC held its annual installation of officers, and awards ceremony. On hand this evening to install the 2010 officers was Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. Leading the CHC into 2010 is Fire Chief Tate Coulbourne, President Brian Hill, and Auxillary President Kim O'Malley and a team of dedicated officers. All look forward to having a great year. Also during tonights events Chief John Embert gave his outgoing Fire Chiefs speech, was also presented with a small token of appreciation by his 2009 officers of a Past Chiefs Coin. During the awards ceremony portion of the event several members received awards for thier outstanding efforts in 2009. Earning the Calvin E. Foxwell Memorial Award for most points in a year was Past Chief Gerald Mood, for earning over 600 points in 2009. Earning the H. Thomas Tucker Memorial Firefighter award, named after the only member of the CHC to die in the LOD, was awarded to Michael Everett for his outstanding efforts and going above and beyond helping the fire company in any way possible. Earning the William T. Lewis memorial award for the outstanding School Probational Member of the year award was Eric Neeld for his outstanding efforts as a probational member in the year 2009.
