Accident with fire - Route 13 North of Smyrna Wawa

On June 25, 2007 at approximately 22:30 hours, units were dispatched to Route 13 just north of the Smyrna Wawa for a MVC, car reported on fire.   Upon arrival, units found a small 4 door car had struck a parked dump truck.  The car was found to be fully involved and with a large amount of intrusion to the front of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was able to pull himself out prior to arrival of units. The operator was flown to Christiana Emergency Room by Trooper 4. Units were assisted by Ambulance B64, Medic 66, Trooper 4, and DSP.   CHC had 37 men in service. OIC was Chief John L. Embert III.
