Accident with entrapment - Routh 13 North of Rest Area

At 1616 CHC units were dispatched to a MVC with injuries on Rt. 13 North of the Smyrna Rest Area.  Units arrived to find a 2 car, t-bone MVC, with the driver of the car trapped.  Crews from 44-4 and R-44 utilized thier hurst tools to free the driver from the car, she was trapped for about 15 minutes.  The driver of the car was also traveling with her dog, who also became trapped.  One of the dogs legs was stuck between the seats, and needed to be pulled out so it could be free.  Both pts were taken to KGH by BLS.  44 units were in service for 42 minutes, and were assited by A-64, B-64, Medic 66, and DSP.  OIC was 1st Asst. chief Jay Pappas.
