Ladder Assist Station 1/27 and Station 45 and Engine Cover up

At 2122 hrs Engine and Ladder 44 were dispatched as part of the "MOT" working fire assignment in New Castle County. Ladder 44 made the response with a crew of 7 under command of 44-19(E.Neeld). While Responding, Middletown Command placed the box under control canceling the Ladder. Engine 44-3 was redirected to cover station 27.

Just Prior to the Ladder Being canceled, Station 45 Engine 44 and Ladder 46 were dispatched to a mutli-residential structure fire in the Village of Wheatleys Pond. Rescue/Engine 44-4 made the response with a crew of 8 under command of 44-21(B.Ferguson) and Ladder 44 made the response after being canceled. Command 45 arrived to find a 3 story middle of the row town house with nothing evident. Rescue/Engine 44-4 arrived to assume the second due engine and Ladder 44 arrived to assume the second due truck. Crews found negative results and the scene was placed under control.

Engine 44-3 Staffed Station 27 with a full crew under the command of 44-23(R.Daniels) Until being released by Middletown Command.
