CHC Fire Prevention Awards Ceremony - Smyrna DE

The CHC held its 9th annual Fire Prevention Awards Ceremony to show appreciation to the students, teachers, administrators, and family members who helped to make it another successful year with the fire prevention poster and essay contest. Students who placed first, second, or third, along with their families, teachers, and administrators were invited to the firehouse for an awards ceremony. Each student received a trophy, and a Target gift card for their accomplishments. After the ceremony was over the children and their family members were able to tour the fire station, get in and sit on the trucks, and have the fire station to themselves. The auxiliary also made snacks, and sandwiches for everyone to eat if they wanted. Also 7 of our winners tonight had their post or essay place at the County level, and will receiving an award from the Kent County Fireman's Assoc. this Sunday in Milford. Congratulations to all our winners.
