Annual Sept 11th Memorial Service
Monday, September 11, 2017

On Monday, September 11, 2017 the Citizens’ Hose Company No 1. Inc. along with the Smyrna/Clayton ministerium held our annual 9-11 memorial service in front of our station to remember the First Responders and civilians who lost their lives 16 years ago.

Our guest speaker this year was Colonel Richard H. Arroyo who is the Chief Administrator of the Delaware River & Bay Authority.  Col Arroyo shared his story when he was working for New Jersey State Police and was assigned to ground zero in New York City.

We would like to thank the Clayton, Cheswold, Townsend, Middletown, Dover, Leipsic, and Little Creek Fire Departments.  Delaware State, Smyrna and Clayton Police Departments.  Kent County Paramedics and Ambulance 64 all for attending our event as well as our band, fire prevention queens, members of the ministerium, local politicians and countless members of our community.
